As much as you are pulled to the Tarot, perhaps it only seems to mystify you or seems like a big secret that you can't figure out.  You wonder how others can figure it out, make sense of it, and have fun with the cards.  Have you ever bought a book about the Tarot (or many books or programs!) and still didn't understand all that you felt was there to be learned after reading it?  Have you tried to learn minor arcana meanings, only to be frustrated by how some books seem to barely gloss over them in a paragraph or two, yet offer more explanation for the major arcana cards?  Have you felt confused by what the Court Cards are all about and how they apply to questions asked in a reading?

I certainly have.  I have invested thousands of dollars through the years to grasp that deeper meaning and interpretation of the cards for a variety of questions and circumstances that one can bring to the Tarot.  A single book on the Tarot simply does NOT do this craft any justice!  And thus, this is why a single book (no matter how well intentioned it was or how thorough one has tried to be) . . . just doesn't begin to cover the many layers and meanings that a card can hold.  Yet the layers are all connected by some common thread that is the basis of meaning for each card.  This is what I learned from my own costly experience in my personal journey -- a journey that included many, many books, courses, and other materials that I bought and diligently studied through the years.

If you want to fully learn Tarot in ten minutes, a day, or a week, then this is not the course for you.  You simply cannot learn it in such a short amount of time and properly apply the vast knowledge and wisdom that the Tarot contains.  But if you have a genuine passion to learn the cards and really understand them so that you CAN read them with proficiency . . . then this is the study course for you!  Studying and learning the Tarot is not rocket science, but it does take some time to get acquainted with the cards, work with them, and practice.  In fact, "practice" is a keyword, because that is the only way one can develop a relationship with the cards and apply the knowledge that is available to be discovered.  This is why there are practice readings to do with each and every chapter of the course.  That is so important in learning how to put the cards together and see how it all "fits."

Would you take college courses without textbooks
from which to study and learn?

The "Tarot Journal of Wisdom Study Course" books are not representative of the average Tarot books on the market.  They are much more like textbooks and workbooks.  They are written in such a way as to be different and stand out from so many others . . . and because of that, they can definitely make a positive difference in your ability to comprehend and read the Tarot with confidence.  Through working with the Tarot, you also open up the channels of your natural intuitive voice.  You will learn how to pay more attention to that important guide that has always been a part of you, but perhaps you were afraid to trust.

Remember that your intuition is important in the process of working with Tarot, and so there may be times in which your thoughts and feelings will provide you with additional information -- or even take you to an interpretation that does not go strictly "by the book."  That is absolutely okay, because in working with the Tarot, you will be enhancing your intuition to take you to further depths of meaning!  Give your imagination free reign as you work with Tarot, and you will learn how to comfortably work with your personal intuitive forces that are there to guide you and show you the way.  The art of Tarot reading isn't just about reading and book learning.  It's about practice and applying!  As human beings, we learn best through actual experience and application.  The books help you understand the meanings behind the cards so that you can interpret the messages that are meant for you to uncover . . . but when you also give your intuition a chance to express itself, you can see even deeper into the messages that the Tarot offers.

A card can mean many things . . . but what does it mean
for YOUR question and situation?

People are often mystified by the type of card that might appear in their reading.  For example, if you are concerned about a money situation, and the Two of Cups appears in the reading . . . "What the heck does that mean?" you might ask.  Does it mean that you need to marry into money to have abundance in your life?  Probably not.  But the Two of Cups is about a union, and that can signify that your money situation will improve through a positive union that comes to your attention . . . such as a new job, or your partner getting a new job with a good salary.  There is something here for you to be involved with, support, and give yourself to so that you can enjoy a positive money situation that is probably mutually beneficial for you and another person or entity.  It's all about connecting with others in order to find "more" in your life.

Or what if I pull the Lovers in regard to my financial condition?  Does that mean I'm "in love" with money?!  The Lovers card is a powerful and positive card from the Major Arcana, but it's really all about choices!  So if I pull this card in relation to my financial situation, I can see that I have some choices to make in order to create the changes that I desire . . . and with that card coming up, I've probably got some good options in front of me to explore!  So that would be a good thing to see in my financial questions.

What if I pull a card to represent a vacation I'm planning -- and oh my goodness, it's the Six of Swords!  Oh no, a SWORD card for my vacation with my family?  That must be a terrible thing, since the suit of Swords has such a bad rap in the Tarot.  NOT AT ALL!  In fact, the Six of Swords would be a good card to receive.  It would represent that chance to get away, to leave your problems behind, and to enjoy smooth sailing for a time.  Although you may have problems to return to when your vacation comes to an end, you have a chance to forget about all that for awhile and not worry about it until you do return.  You are meant to enjoy the peace of mind and sense of rejuvenation that your vacation can bring you with Six of Swords energy.
